Towards the end of the 1980's Mizen Head developed an outdoor range to suit a wide variety of clothing requirements from the rigours of fishing on the North Atlantic to the lesser demands of country pursuits.

The Irish climate, though not particularly cold, is among the wettest and windiest in the world.
